How to jump higher in Basketball?

by Ryan on December 28, 2009

If you play basketball for passion, or professionally, then listen up. In this article, I’m going to show you exactly how you can jump higher in basketball. Increasing your vertical leap gives you better chances of grabbing rebounds, blocking opponent’s shots, etc.

First, and probably the easiest thing I can recommend you is to jump ropes. Make sure your toes are pointed. It’s the best way to strengthen your calf muscles. Other than that, practice walking on your tiptoes back and forth daily for a few minutes.

Work on plyometric exercises. Practice lifts. Visualize yourself jumping higher. Visualizing works amazingly well, if done correctly. Strengthen your muscles by lifting heavier weights. That way, you’ll exercise your muscles against resistance and that will help you jump higher.

Finally, take some professional advice. There are lot of programs that can help you. Go through some recommended sources and practice what they say. :)

The Jump Manual

Thesis Theme

The Jump Manual is a comprehensive training program that teaches you how to increase your vertical leap.

It is totally risk free and carries a 60 day moneyback guarantee. Along with all the goodies that you get, what I consider to be the most invaluable thing about the Jump Manual is that you get in touch with pro athletes such as Dave Hopla, who is an assistant coach with Washington Wizards and considered by many to be the best shooter in the world!
